Living The Moment

Archive for August 2007

Last night Liverpool showed character by beating Toulouse 4-0 at Anfield. Considerable number of changes were made by Benitez as he played Leto and Levia for the 1st time since their arrival in the summer. Goals from Crouch, Hyppia and a double from Kuyt made sure Liverpool will go on to the group stage of the Champions League for the 4th successive time under the stewardship of senor Benitez.  All of Liverpool strikers now opened their account for this season. Kuyt, Crouch, Torres and Voronin scored and this could only prove 1 thing, we are starting to produce the goods. Lets just hope that we can carry the momentum until the end of the season and the quest for glory and more silverware starts this season again.

The draw for the group stage will be on Thursday the 30th of August…cant wait which team is gonna go up against the Reds! but whoever it is…bring it on! 🙂

Liverpool won at the Stadium of Light when they tamed the black cats. 1st goal for Momo after spending 3 years at Liverpool. We all know that he is not well known for his attacking play, he’s more of a defensive minded midfielder and we all know that he’s good at doing that with his tough tackling never say die attitude in the engine room.

The second goal was scored by Voronin who also scored his first goal in the league. Now we know that everybody can score 🙂 which is a good thing…The only drawback was injuries to Hyppia who broke his nose and Carragher who might have broken a rib. Two of our best defenders are injured now and with Champions League 2nd leg looming in just a few days…Liverpool must find ways to tighten up the backline. The only good thing about the 2nd leg is that it will be played at Anfield…:) All the best Reds!

I found out about this band just a couple of days ago and my first impression of them…Awesome! In the beginning, the tune was ok-ish sounding…but once they got to the chorus bit, thats where they hit the big punch! At first i thought they sound like Panic! At the disco..but when i listened to 2 of their other songs in myspace…they are totally different. I can imagine though doing this song in an acoustic version…i thought it would sound great. But just to give you a little taste of what they sound like, you can watch their video…its their 1st single entitled “Satellite”

Yes…im talking about the referee Rob Styles during last weekend’s game between Liverpool and Chelsea at Anfield. He’s in all the papers yesterday for mistakenly given a penalty to Chelsea to give Chelsea the point….i was thinking right, the extra 2 points that Liverpool could have could become crucial by the end of the season and it could define who is going to be the champions this year. I know some of you might think its still to early in the season, but hey, any football fanatic will be unhappy with that standard of refereeing. That was utter shit if you ask me! There! I said it…Rob Style’s just plain shit! He cracked under pressure, he didnt deliver and he is not fit to be the man in tyhe middle of the park for big games…ANY BIG GAMES!

One article in the paper yesterday wrote solely about him and this columnist actually said that red cards should be shown to bad referees. He even suggested that we should see the back of him…FOR GOOD! He further added that “Rob Styles is a man seemingly capable of seeing things nobody else can”. Indeed it is true, the whole 42 thousand spectators in Anfield and a few million across the world saw that Malouda ran to Finnan and jumped. Poor Finnan, he didnt even know Malouda was coming to him…and Maurinho had the audacity saying that there’s no diver in his team and he thinks the referee got it right? If he is right then why is Styles got suspended for next week’s game and he even admitted that he was wrong for giving the penalty to Chelsea….Nice move Styles…and Jose Maurinho….u really suck man!…i think you’re the only guy who supported Styles…cos you know we are turning the screws on you now….
