And the verdict is….*shrugs*
Yes. Benitez retaliated yesterday by making comments on what Sir Alex said earlier over the championship pressure and fixtures. I am not going to elaborate here on what Senor Benitez said during the press conference yesterday but he said that he just did not wanna get embroiled in the mind games sat up by Sir Alex. But as for some quarters of the footballing fans, they thought that Sir Alex is already winning in the mind games. Whoever made any remarks on Sir Alex’s comments will definitely get sucked in and slowly fighting a loosing battle. Thats what they all said.
I for one do not think Benitez is stupid enough to make those verbal attacks on Sir Alex, not because i’m biased, i stood outside the circle when it comes to this and see where this issue lies. Knowing Benitez, he usually does not make any long comments about other teams. but this time he sat down with his homework done…armed with incidents happening over the past few years.
True, Sir Alex is the master when it comes to playing mind games, that i have to agree because he’s been doing it for the past 20 years and he always came up on top in each and every mind game. Keegan, Maurinho, Wenger all sucked in before (with the exception of Houllier when he failed to beat Liverpool when he was at the helm). Sir Alex is a master class coach with a wit that surpassed every EPL managers. Am i allowed to say that considering i am a die hard Liverpool fan? why not? I think i speak the truth. He proved it. But It is about time somebody should stand up and point out where the real issues lie and Benitez has just done that yesterday.
I dont see anything wrong with what Benitez said because he gathered all his information ever since he first landed the job at Liverpool. Sir Alex is a masterclass but Benitez is just a perfectionist and an idealist. A man who is excellent in managing a football team, a tactician and ruthless when it comes to football planning. I salute Benitez for his courage and its true, everybody should look ahead and see what is truly happening in English football. Cant we just get along and play the beautiful game instead?…rather than playing mind games, its better that football teams do their talking on the pitch than in match conference.
Benitez…pointing out the truth?
